The Peninsula Jewish Community Center’s (PJCC) Camp KEFF has provided outstanding summer, fall, winter, and spring programs for youth from age 3- grade 11 for more than five decades. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where youth & teens can play and grow while loving their authentic selves. Hundreds of campers attend our programs each year to enjoy our week-long sessions filled with Jewish values, inspired to make the world a better place! All our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association.
The Song Leader is an integral member of our camp staff and works to infuse music and Jewish culture into the PJCC Camp Programs. Under the direction of the Assistant Youth Director of Camp, the Song Leader will help to create camp community, pride and spirit through song and performance. This includes leading a weekly community Shabbat gathering.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of college from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Passionate about working with youth TK – Grade 5
• Experience in leading music sessions with small groups and large audiences
• Knowledge of Jewish music
• Ability to educate and work with diverse populations
• Experience working in a camp setting a plus
• Knowledge of Jewish culture a plus
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before start of employment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Plan, supervise, and implement Music programs and activities for campers age 5 – Grade 5.
• Participate in and lead all-camp activities in mornings or afternoons when scheduled.
• Participate in and lead Shabbat singing on Friday afternoons and evenings.

Hours: Monday – Friday 10:00am – 12:00pm and Fridays 2:30-4:00pm, June 12 – August 4
Mandatory staff training June 5 – 9.
Salary: $100-$250/day. Depending on experience and schedule. Plus, a free summer membership to the PJCC Athletic Center.
