The Camp Ramah Performing Arts Department is seeking an experienced Music Director to work as part of our Performing Arts Department. Over the course of the summer the performing arts team produces 3-4musicals, a dance & song festival, and supports a Camp culture of Hebrew/Jewish music & song.
The Music Director should have professional skills and experience as a MD, ability/experience in transposing music, orchestrating music for many instruments, and teaching music. Ability to orchestrate for the acapella and teach the group.
We look for strong collaborators to unify productions around their central vision focusing on the high standard to which Camp Ramah has become known. Our goal is to achieve high quality through the focus on process rather than product, whereby ideally, each and every camper is given individual attention of the artistic team in order to facilitate maximum growth and development of all the campers.
Dates: Camp runs from June 25 – August 15. Staff training & Set-Up begins in early June.
Compensation: $3000-$7500 depending on experience and position. Opportunities exist for additional responsibilities, including pre & post season work. Room and Board provided while in residence at Camp. Additionally, tuition discount is available for enrolled Campers.
